in so much as we are perfect
in the eyes of the Creator
we still have free will
to make something of ourselves
whether for good or for worse
we cannot foresee what comes upon us
so we do well to encourage the divine
to bring us all we need each day
a lark, to make our will stronger
once the mind is fortified
we are left to preserve the body
through the exercise of good will
and holding out the hand of friendship
but what we desire brings us completion
not to remove goals from our lives
but to shore up ourselves in faith
