Cold that warrants sweaters and blankets
As the breath can be seen indoors
The gas bill is too high for comfort’s sake
And what they say about ecology hits home
So we endure in the interest of polar bears
Who cling to tiny ice floes in the arctic
And we pray that its enough for them
That the species will go on forever.
