the holidays sneak
up on you
with special timing
to be sure
you wait and hope
and hold your breath
and then the days
come fast
when baking and a
traditional meal
each day as it comes
to you
your dreams carry
you forward
in a magical wonderland
snow or none, leaves
or none
the weather is like
a fantasy
but the most for
which to be grateful
is the joy of our
loved ones
that we share in
good cheer
