protest, don’t molest
stand up and be
counted for now
each voice has
meaning, can you hear it?

protect thus
what image will we
see on the news?
we can’t trust the
vote, politics smote
the one true answer,
invaders’ cancer
call off the guard
dogs, large hogs,
do you know what you
want in the end?
who do you believe
in and why?
who can stand and
truly lead us?
who has our true
welfare in mind?
say what you need to
say, don’t deny it
there will be no
comfort, don’t buy it
hold hands with your
neighbor, just try it
