Comets, asteroids,
meteors, oh, my!
how these flying
rocks light up the sky
such mixes and
flights of the shining stars
they travel,
unravel, bedazzle so smart
we watch them all
wondering
if they can mean
something more
is there life out
there among them
will we meet the
strangers, before
our planet turns
cold from the damage we do
let’s take care of
her, beware of her,
for one day she
might
let us down and
tumble on her path of flight
hold onto your hat,
may the world understand
that the amazing
gift we have in our gravity
could be disrupted
if we hurt her,
that would be a
travesty.
